India Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya has finally returned to action after a four-month injury absence. Leading Reliance 1 in DY Patil T20 Cup, Hardik picked up 2/22 and scored unbeaten 3 batting at No 9 against BPCL. Hardik suffered an ankle injury in the World Cup match against Bangladesh while bowling. While initially he was supposed to return during the World Cup, the extent of the injury did not permit him. He missed the South Africa tour and now he will play directly in IPL 2024 ahead of T20 World Cup 2024.
Last week, Hardik Pandya reported back at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, undergoing match simulations as part of fitness assessment. Having cleared the fitness tests, he has begun preparations for IPL 2024 with DY Patil T20 Cup.
The T20 tournament also includes big names like Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tripathi.
Hardik Pandya will lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 after a sensational move back to his first franchise. He replaced Rohit Sharma as the MI captain.
