After a superb four days of action to kickstart the Indian domestic season, the Duleep Trophy is set for another crucial encounter. The winners of their respective previous games, India B and India C will lock horns in their next clash. The match will be played at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B in Anantapur. With many starts left for the India vs Bangladesh Test series, let us see how these two Duleep Trophy teams will look like in their tie on September 12.
India B: Rinku Singh to partner Sarfaraz & Musheer Khan
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, and Yash Dayal – all three have left the India B squad. Another name who is in the Indian squad but is confirmed to play this Duleep Trophy game is Sarfaraz Khan. The Mumbai-born batter has been racking up an insane number of runs in the domestic circuit and will look to do the same from Thursday onwards. He will have his brother, Musheer Khan on his side. Musheer was the hero of the previous match, hammering a game-changing 181.
While Rishabh Pant has left, another southpaw is likely to feature in the India B team. Rinku Singh, who is a household name in the shortest format, will be rearing to prove his mettle in the longest format as well. He is not a newbie in the red-ball circuit, having played almost 50 first-class matches and mustering 3173 runs in those games. Tamil Nadu’s N Jagadeesan is likely to keep wickets in thee absence of Pant.
In the bowling department, it will be the same bunch of performers. However, BCCI has announced Mohit Awashti as the replacement player for Yash Dayal. Awasthi is another Mumbai player, who has 72 in just 20 FC games.

India C: Will Suryakumar Yadav play under Iyer’s captaincy?
Fans will be all ears when skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad announces any changes to his lineup against India B. After all, one high-profile name that missed out in the previous fixture was Suraykumar Yadav. Although he played a game in the Buchi Babu tournament for Mumbai, his campaign was cut short due to an injury. His inclusion in the upcoming game is up in the air as well. If available, Gaikwad will have a tough decision to make – whether to drop Aryan Juyal or not in favor of SKY. Juyal impressed with his calm innings of 47 in IND C’s win.
