The Sunrisers Hyderabad have become the third team to make it to the IPL 2024 Playoffs. Although it came without them having to do much with the bat or ball in the SRH vs GT match, they’ll accept the result happily. For the Gujarat Titans, a second straight washed-out match will leave a bad taste in the mouth as their season comes to an end.
The Sunrisers are now placed third, while Gujarat remains in the eighth spot despite earning two points due to consecutive washed-out games. Apart from small changes on the points table, not much happened on the field, but we saw some incredible stories off the field.
Sun shines on Sunrisers
After four years of waiting, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have made it to the IPL Playoffs. Nitish Reddy goes big
Following an incredible IPL 2024 season with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, both with bat and ball, Nitish Reddy has found himself ending up as the most expensive player in the Andhra Pradesh Premier League (APPL) auction. His salary in the APPL will be just Rs 4.4 lakh less than the IPL payout.

The Gujarat Titans were scheduled to wear their special lavender jersey in two matches to support cancer awareness. They were going to don the kit against the Kolkata Knight Riders on May 13 and May 16 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad, both of which were washed out.
Rajasthan gets Jurel for Jos
With one of the best batters going home, Jos Buttler, the Rajasthan Royals have received a Dhruv Jurel bonus. The Indian wicketkeeper batter had suffered a hamstring injury in early May and had been out of action since. Although not an opener by trade, Jurel will definitely make Buttler’s absence feel less.
