Why is Babar Azam not an ideal captain?

Sri Lanka and Pakistan’s T20 World Cup flop exposed contrasting leadership. Wanindu Hasaranga took responsibility, urging that his team to failed to adapt. This is how a captain should be. Pakistan’s Babar Azam, however, blamed pitches in the USA, deflecting from their shortcomings. Fans demands adaptability, and Hasaranga’s leadership shines in contrast. Babar might need to learn from Hasaranga and not point fingers at everything but at his own team.

CSK have a new s’keeper’ after MS Dhoni

CSK’s new skipper, Ruturaj Gaikwad, might be taking a page out of Dhoni’s playbook. Gaikwad’s recent wicket-keeping stint in the MPL has fans buzzing about a potential captain-keeper role, similar to MS Dhoni’s legacy. While emulating is a possibility, Gaikwad will need to refine his skills for the high-intensity IPL.

Jonty Rhodes will be India’s fielding coach soon?

BCCI is reportedly considering Jonty Rhodes for the fielding coach role post T20 World Cup. The 54-year-old is currently with LSG in a similar role. This isn’t Rhodes’ first attempt; he previously applied in 2019 but was unsuccessful. With Dravid’s departure after the World Cup, current coach Dilip might step aside, opening the door for Rhodes. Gautam Gambhir, a frontrunner to succeed Dravid and who previously worked with Rhodes at LSG, might influence this decision.

Did we see last of Trent Boult for New Zealand?

Trent Boult’s international cricket career might be a thing of past now. The pace bowler announced his retirement from the T20 World Cup after the 2024 edition. Belgium shocked, France suffer Mbappe blow!

And finally UEFA Euro 2024 has showcased some upsets. Romania thumped Ukraine with a dominating 3-0 win. But it was Slovakia who surprised everyone with a 1-0 win over Belgium. France started their campaign with a narrow 1-0 win, courtesy of an Austrian own goal. But ace forward Kylian Mbappe has possibly suffered a broken nose, raising questions on his future availability.
