After clinching 4 bronze medals, the hopes of getting a Gold fall upon Neeraj Chopra, who was touted to defend his first position of Tokyo. However, India had to settle for a silver medal as Chopra’s 89.45 metre throw was the second best behind Arshad Nadeem’s 92.97m. With this, Chopra became the first (and probably the only) Indian to bag a silver medal at Paris Olympics.
