Talking about major players, one is Rinku Singh, who has openly discussed his second-favorite franchise – the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Apart from this, it looks like Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are looking to fill the void left by Gautam Gambhir and are eyeing Zaheer Khan in a role of a mentor ahead of IPL 2025.

Rinku Singh from KKR to RCB

Explosive finisher Rinku Singh has expressed interest in joining RCB if he leaves KKR. The IPL 2024 winner shares a good rapport with Virat Kohli, who has gifted him bats as well. With Dinesh Karthik retired, RCB seeks a finisher, and Rinku is a potential fit. “RCB, because Virat Kohli is there,” Rinku told Sports Tak.

Zaheer Khan to LSG!

Zaheer Khan is in talks to become the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The former Indian fast bowler could replace Gautam Gambhir and Morne Morkel, who have both left the team. Pakistan playing XI vs BAN

Pakistan has named its team for the first Test against Bangladesh. Shan Masood will captain the side, with Saud Shakeel as his deputy. The squad includes star batters Babar Azam and a strong pace attack led by Shaheen Shah Afridi and a returning Naseem Shah. The match starts on August 21 in Rawalpindi. Fast bowler Aamir Jamal, meanwhile, is out due to injury.

Why no Rohit-Kohli at Duleep Trophy?

Sunil Gavaskar remained puzzled by Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s absence from the Duleep Trophy. Despite BCCI’s claim that stars will play to prepare for the Bangladesh Test series, these key players are resting out. Gavaskar worries they’ll lack match practice. Other absentees include Bumrah (rest), Shami (injury), and Pandya (focused on white-ball cricket). Gavaskar expressed concern about Rohit and Kohli going into the Test series without sufficient match practice.
