‘Dream come true’: India skipper Rohit Sharma cherishes last dance in T20 World Cup

Taking to social media platform X, Rohit Sharma revealed that he did not have the words to express how he felt like and that he was currently basking in a dream that came true

India cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma is still not over India’s win at the T20 World Cup. just like other fans. The trophy comes as the latest addition to the Hitman’s cabinet as he bids adieu from the shortest format of the game.

Taking to social media platform X, Sharma revealed that he did not have the words to express how he felt like and that he was currently basking in a dream that came true for a billion others and himself.

After a long wait of 17 years, the Indian Cricket Team lifted the ICC T20 World Cup. Rohit Sharma back in 2007 became the youngest player to win the trophy. And now today, 17 years later, he lifted it for his country as the man leading the Men in Blue.

But with time, the seniors are passing on the baton to the juniors. And like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma too announced at the post match press conference that he too is retiring from the shortest format of the game.

“This was my last game as well. I’ve enjoyed since the time I started playing this format. Better a time to say goodbye to this format. I’ve loved every moment of this. This is what I wanted – I wanted to win the cup,” Rohit Sharma said post match.
