Dravid Jr. scores classy 98 in Cooch Behar Trophy, video surfaces online

Rahul Dravid's son Samit played a crucial role in Karnataka's win over J&K in the Cooch Behar Trophy recently.

It is generally hard for cricketer kids to make it big, be it at any stage — domestic or international. But the love for the sport does not bar them from playing anyway. Now a recent video of India head coach’s son, Samit Dravid has surfaced online, who is playing in the Cooch Behar Trophy at the moment (U-19 equivalent of Ranji), for Karnataka.

In their last match against J&K, Samit played an exceptional knock of 98, to take his team to a win by an innings and 130 runs. In the video, Samit can be seen playing a cover drive, reminiscent of his father’s style.

It must also be noted that Samit is a handy bowler as well, and had picked up three wickets in the match against J&K.

Rahul Dravid Attended Samit’s Match

Earlier, father Rahul Dravid, while on a break from national duty, was seen attending Samit’s match in the Cooch Behar Trophy (Karnataka vs Uttarakhand). Sr. Dravid would be next seen with Team India during the Test Series against South Africa, due to begin on December 26.
