Pakistan Cricket Team may be in a tough spot in the AUS vs PAK 2nd Test in Melbourne, but there is no shortage of drama. During the Australia vs Pakistan Day 2 play, state broadcaster PTV suspended broadcast of the match abruptly. The reason? The match had in-field advertisement of betting companies.
As per Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), any broadcast with advertisement of betting or gambling companies is strictly prohibited during sporting events. Following the notification by PEMRA, there were uncertainties whether the match will be broadcast in Pakistan at all.
However, Ten Sports which also holds rights to AUS vs PAK broadcast continued with an image superimposed on the betting sponsors’ logos.
PTV suspends AUS vs PAK LIVE broadcast
As for PTV, it had no broadcast of Australia vs Pakistan 2nd Test Day 1.
Later PTV issued a statement saying the broadcaster had to stop the match live telecast to adhere to Pakistan govt’s zero tolerance for surrogate companies.

However, now PTV Sports will resume broadcast of the AUS vs PAK match as the feed will be claear of all betting sponsorship logos to adhere to local laws as er ESPNCricinfo.
