DPLT20 star who smashed 6 sixes in an over aspires to share dressing room with Virat Kohli

South Delhi Superstarz batter Priyansh Arya took North Delhi Strikers by a storm after striking six sixes in one over

South Delhi Superstarz batter Priyansh Arya has expressed his desire to play alongside Virat Kohli for IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The batter shot to fame after he replicated Yuvraj Singh’s feat in the game against North Delhi Strikers. Like many other young cricketers in the country, Arya admitted that Kohli was his inspiration and that he wanted to play side by side with the former Indian skipper.

Priyansh Arya wants to play with Virat Kohli

I want to play for RCB as I admire Virat (Kohli) bhaiya a lot,” Priyansh Arya told news agency ANI.

He also revealed Ayush Badoni’s advice to him after striking four consecutive sixes. The batter said that Badoni asked him to go for the kill move by striking two more sixes to complete six sixes in the over.

It was pretty much impossible to bowl Arya in the game against NDS, as he came out all guns blazing at everything. The range of shots and immaculate hitting by the southpaw that whenever a spin dropped it shot, he was quick to smack it out of the ground.

Who is Priyansh Arya?

Arya, who has previously played for India ‘A’ U-19s in a quadrangular series back in 2019 alongside players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravi Bishnoi, is now steadily making his way to the big stage. It would be fair to say that we might see him in the IPL 2025 auction.

Having already made a name for himself in DPL 2024 with two centuries, Priyansh Arya first scored an unbeaten 107 runs off 55 balls against Purani Delhi 6. He has now added another impressive century, which included six sixes. Priyansh is currently the poster boy of DPL.
