India got off to a horrid start on Day 1 of the IND vs SA 1st Test. Rohit Sharma’s men lost the first three wickets for less than 30 runs. However, an innings of 38 runs from Virat Kohli steadied the Indian ship a bit before Rabada struck again to put the Proteas on front foot once again. India are reeling at 208/8 at the moment when rain stopped play in the first day’s 3rd session. KL Rahul is putting up a tremendous show at the moment, fighting it out in the middle with India’s tail enders. He is unbeaten at 70 runs.
Speaking on Star Sports at the Tea break, Ravi Shastri urged India to approach the game positively. According to Shastri, India have a decent total on board, and their bowling line-up is good enough to blow over this Proteas batting line-up.
“The match is not over yet. India have put some runs on the board. Now they should play the match with a positive mindset, knowing South Africa will have to bat in the fourth innings and India have a fiery bowling line-up,” Shastri said.
