Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik, recently shared insights into his cricketing journey, expressing his desire to play for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and acknowledging the potential growth Mumbai Indians could have offered him.
Reflecting on his career, Karthik expressed minimal regrets but highlighted two missed opportunities: the decision not to stay with Mumbai Indians in 2013, which he believes could have facilitated his development, and the inability to join CSK despite their consistent interest in him.
“I don’t have much regrets in my cricket career – one will be the fact that I didn’t want to get retained in 2013, MI could have really helped me grow & become an even better player and second will be I couldn’t be part of CSK but I respect them a lot as they bid for me everytime,” said Dinesh Karthik on Ravichandran Ashwin’s youtube channel.
Having not represented India since the last T20 World Cup, where India fell to England in the semifinals, Karthik disclosed his sentiments on Ravichandran Ashwin’s YouTube channel. Currently with RCB, Karthik has amassed 90 runs in five matches, reportedly marking his final season in the IPL as a player.
