The BCCI has unveiled the updated schedule for the Indian Premier League (IPL), opting to host all 74 matches within India,. With the new unveiled schedules for the second phase of IPL 2024, starting from April 8th, the Mullanpur Stadium at Dharamshala will host more games while two of Rajasthan’s games will be held in Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
The tournament’s crucial phase will unfold in Ahmedabad and Chennai, with Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator set for the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on May 21 and 22, followed by Qualifier 2 and the final at Chepauk in Chennai on May 24 and 26.
Addressing security concerns amid the General Elections, spanning seven phases from April 19 to June 1, with the vote count slated for June 4, the BCCI adeptly circumvented overlaps with election dates across the nation. Notably, the scheduling preserves the home and away format.
IPL 2024 Games at Mullanpur Stadium :
Punjab Kings’ new home, the Mullanpur Stadium at Dharamshala will host two more games, including Punjab Kings’ matchups against Chennai Super Kings on May 5 and Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 9. The Mohali Stadium earlier hosted Punjab King’s opening game against Delhi Capitals.

Additionally, Guwahati, the secondary base for Rajasthan Royals, is set to witness two encounters, with Rajasthan facing Punjab Kings on May 15 and Kolkata Knight Riders on May 19, marking the conclusion of the league phase. No games were played in the stadium is the first phase.
