Conway out of 3rd NZ vs AUS T20I, Seifert and Duffy join Blackcaps squad

Rachin Ravindra, who missed the second T20I with a left knee injury, remains a doubt for the final match. His availability will be determined in the next 24 hours.

New Zealand vs Australia 3rd T20I: New Zealand’s T20I series against Australia has been dealt a blow with the news that opener Devon Conway is ruled out of the final match due to a thumb injury.

Seifert Returns, Duffy Called Up:

Conway, who injured his left thumb while wicket-keeping in the second T20I, will return home to Wellington for specialist assessment. In his place, Tim Seifert, who was initially ruled out with a torn abductor, has passed a fitness test and rejoined the squad.

To bolster the bowling attack, Otago pace-bowler Jacob Duffy has also been called up due to the tight turnaround between matches.

Ravindra’s Availability Uncertain:

Rachin Ravindra, who missed the second T20I with a left knee injury, remains a doubt for the final match. His availability will be determined in the next 24 hours. An additional batsman is also expected to be added to the squad as a precaution.

New Zealand vs Australia 3rd T20I at Eden Park:

Despite the setbacks, the Blackcaps look to bounce back in the series finale against Australia at Eden Park on Sunday. The match starts at 1pm and will be televised live in New Zealand on TVNZ and SENZ.
