Delhi Police arrest woman who blackmailed Yuvraj Singh mother for Rs 40 lakh

Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh's mother has filed a complaint against a former caretaker employee for alleged extortion.

According to the police, a woman was detained on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to extort money from Shabnam Singh, the mother of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh.

DCP (East) Nitish Aggarwal as per Indian Express said, “The accused was employed last year as a caretaker for Yuvraj Singh younger brother. She was let go from work after her work seemed unsatisfactory. However, a year later, the complainant got a call from the accused stating that she would defame the family by filing a false case if they don’t pay her Rs 40 lakh.”
