Deepti Sharma is the only Indian in ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year 2023 which is dominated by World Cup stars. In 2023, Deepti Sharma, bagged 21 wickets in 17 matches. Her best came against West Indies in T20 World Cup, bagging 3/15. Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu was named the captain of the team which is dominatd by Australia.
Deepti Sharma proved difficult to get away for almost every opponent in 2023, going at less than a run a ball across almost 60 overs for India. The off-spinner claimed 21 wickets in 17 outings, including four three-wicket hauls early in the year.

- Chamari Athapaththu (c) (Sri Lanka): Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu hit a purple patch in 2023, scoring 470 runs at a strike rate of 130.91.
- Beth Mooney (wk) (Australia): The Australian keeper-batter was also in superb form throughout 2023, scoring 410 runs at an average of 41 and a strike rate of 120.58. She was one of the key players to guide Australia to T20 WC title.
- Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa): The second top scorer of 2023, Laura Wolvaardt had an impressive year, scoring 586 runs at an average of 45.
- Hayley Matthews (West Indies): The top scorer of 2023 Hayley Matthews hammered 700 runs at a strike rate of 132 and average of 63.63.
- Nat Sciver-Brunt (England): The England batter scored 364 runs at 45.50 average in 2023. She also played an impressive knock of 81 off 40 balls against Pakistan in T20 WC.
- Amelia Kerr (New Zealand): The Kiwi all-rounder scored 365 runs and bagged 12 wickets in 2023 to make the ICC Women’s T20I Team of the Year.
- Ellyse Perry (Australia): The Australian all-rounder had another impressive run in 2023. The super athlete ended up with 319 runs in 10 innings.
- Ash Gardner (Australia): The Aussie spinner was player of the tournament in T20 WC. She finished the year with 234 runs and also bagged a fifer in the T20 WC.
- Deepti Sharma (India): Deepti Sharma was one of the miser bowlers during entire 2023 going at less than run a ball.
- Sophie Ecclestone (England): The English offie finished T20 WC with 11 wickets and then clinched the World No 1 ranking with 800 rating points. She finished 2023 with 23 wickets in 11 matches.
- Megan Schutt (Australia): The Australian pacer also had an outstanding year with 21 wickets at an average of 15.57. She also bagged a fifer against Pakistan (5/15).
