This incident took place at the Brabourne Stadium where Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad clashed in the 50th match of IPL 2022. Shreyas Gopal, who was making his debut for SRH, bowled a brilliant first over where he conceded only 2 runs – bowling three dot balls against Rishabh Pant.

However, in his second over, all hell broke loose and Pant fancied hitting the off-spinner to all parts of the ground. His first six came in the second delivery where he got on one knee and smashed a huge six over square leg.
Then in the third delivery of the over, Pant struck another six by dispatching the ball over the bowler’s head. The hat-trick of sixes was completed in the next delivery where the DC skipper picked the wrong-un effectively and played a lofted drive.

Pant was not done yet, as in the penultimate ball of the over, he played a cut shot which yielded four runs. Having scored 22 runs in 4 balls it seemed that he will go big in the last ball as well, but it was Gopal who had the last laugh.
The ball was there to be hit as it was a full toss outside off stump, but the wicketkeeper-batter failed to get a proper connection and instead ended up dragging it onto the stumps. Overall, it was a battle worth cherishing where it will be fair to say that both parties came out victoriously.
