DC vs KKR Qualifier 2: DC bowlers records at Sharjah – Delhi Capitals will look to avoid a repeat of their 2012 embarrassment as they hope to clinch a place in the IPL 2021 final at the second time of asking when they face the Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah. Rishabh pant and Co. had the glorious chance at making the final, but missed against CSK, but will have another shot at it after their top of the table finish during the league stage. Should that happen, Delhi Capitals will need their bowlers in top form against a deep and explosive KKR line-up.
Here’s a look at the DC’s records at Sharjah and how their bowlers have performed at the venue.
DC vs KKR Qualifier 2: Rishabh Pant will rely on his pace battery to inflict damage, with a place in the final on the line
DC bowlers records at Sharjah – Pacers: It has been a mixed bag for Delhi Capitals pacers at Sharjah. The conditions at the ground have been a stark contrast in IPl 2020 and IPL 2021, but the venue has traditionally favoured spin over pace. DC spearhead Kagiso Rabada does not have the best of records at the venue, claiming five wickets in six games at Sharjah, with best figures of 3/35. His economy rate of 9.64 is particularly alarming and Pant would hope that Kagiso Rabada can turn a corner on those numbers.
DC vs KKR Qualifier 2 – Rabada’s fellow South African quick Anrich Nortje has enjoyed success at the venue, picking up eight wickets in five games. Nortje’s average of 17 and economy rate of 7.41 are particularly eye-catching considering the short boundaries in Sharjah and the right-arm pacer has best figures of 3/33 at the venue.

DC vs KKR Qualifier 2 – Avesh Khan has played twice at Sharjah, picking up three wickets hauls in both games posting some incredible numbers for the Delhi Capitals. His economy rate at the venue is just 4, and an average of 4.66 just sets him apart from the rest. The 23-year-old has struggled in the last two games, and a return to his hunting ground will be welcome for the DC star.

DC bowlers records at Sharjah – Spinners: Axar Patel has been brilliant with the ball for the Capitals in Phase 2, and the left-arm spinner will again be crucial should Rishabh Pant and Co. harbour hopes of making the IPL 2021 final. In six games at the venue, Axar Patel has seven wickets, with best figures of 3/21. His economy rate is less than 6 despite the number of games, and his average of 15.28 also shows his reliable consistency with the ball.
DC vs KKR Qualifier 2 – Ravichandran Ashwin meanwhile has struggled this season, and unfortunately for the off-spinner, Sharjah hasn’t been a hunting ground in the past. In six matches, Ashwin has just four wickets, with best figures of 2/22 with an average of over 40. Capitals will hope that Ashwin can end his run of poor performances and spin the game in DC’s favour.
