DC Playing XI vs RCB: DC vs RCB LIVE: Delhi Capitals are missing Anrich Nortje for the Royal Challengers Bangalore clash. The Protean speedster has traveled back home due to a personal emergency. However, Marsh too will be joining the pace attack. Follow Indian Premier League 2023 live updates with InsideSport.IN.

Delhi Capitals Playing XI: David Warner(c), Philip Salt(w), Mitchell Marsh, Rilee Rossouw, Manish Pandey, Aman Hakim Khan, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mukesh Kumar, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed

“We would have batted first as well. We are coming out here with a lot of energy, passion and belief. We can get only better from where we are. All facets of the game, bat, bowling and fielding. It rained today, so there might be no dew. Mukesh Kumar comes in for Anrich Nortje who has gone home and Mitch Marsh comes in as the other overseas player,” David Warner said at the toss.

“Owing to a personal emergency, Delhi Capitals fast bowler Anrich Nortje had to leave for South Africa late on Friday night. He will be unavailable for this evening’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore,” DC said in a statement.

Delhi’s performance in the previous game was dreadful with the bat, but their impressive display with the ball secured them the victory. However, the side doesn’t have in-form batting options on the bench at the moment and it is very likely they will stick with the same batting lineup apart from the addition of Mitchell Marsh.

The team’s captain, David Warner, has been struggling with form in recent games, but he will continue to open and will be hoping to regain his form and make some important runs in the top order.

Phil Salt also failed to make an impact in the last game, getting dismissed for a duck. However, his performance of 59 runs off 35 deliveries against Hyderabad makes him a sure-shot part of the XI.

Manish Pandey, who was dismissed for just one run in the previous game, will also look to make a significant contribution.

Aman Hakim Khan was the star for DC with the bat as he played a resilient knock of 51 runs when other batters failed to impress. Ripal Patel also made a short cameo by scoring 23 runs off 13 deliveries against Gujarat. He will also be crucial down the order.

Mitchell Marsh, who missed the previous game due to illness, is expected to be fully fit and in the starting XI against Bangalore.

Axar Patel has been one of the best performers for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023, scoring 238 runs and taking seven wickets in nine games. He will look to contribute more in the upcoming match.

The bowling attack single-handedly snatched win for DC in the last game and they will be looking to replicate same performance against RCB.

Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav will be the main four bowlers for DC in the game against RCB.
