The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) won the toss and opted to bat first in the crucial Match 26 of IPL 2024 against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 12. Interestingly, Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant also expressed his desire to bat first, hinting at his confidence in his bowling attack.
The bigger news for DC fans, however, came in the form of the return of their Indian duo Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar. Both bowlers missed the previous few matches due to niggles, but have recovered and are back in the playing XI for tonight’s DC vs LSG encounter.
The return of the experienced Kuldeep Yadav, known for his deceptive spin, and the young gun Mukesh Kumar, who has impressed with his death bowling, provides DC with more options and firepower to restrict the high-flying Lucknow batting line-up.
Jake Fraser-McGurk to make his IPL debut vs LSG
Apart from this, the Capitals have also handed a debut to Jake Fraser-McGurk, who is one of the hottest batting prodigy going around. The Australian also made his international debut earlier this year.
The 21-year-old hard-hitter was a late addition to the Delhi squad as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi.
