DC Playing XI after buying Brook, Stubbs & Hope in IPL 2024 Auction

The Delhi Capitals bought nine players (four overseas) in the IPL 2024 auction.

After ending the last IPL edition in the 9th spot, the Delhi Capitals (DC) have made sweeping changes to their playing XI and squad. The franchise released 11 players, had 9 slots, and had Rs 28.95 crore in hand for the IPL 2024 auction. Bagging 4 overseas and 9 players in total, DC made full use of the auction purse they had.

With the IPL 2024 season kicking off in 3 months, one can’t predict how the franchise will fare in the upcoming season of the IPL, but we can speculate about DC’s playing XI.

Players Bought by DC at the IPL 2024 Auction

Harry Brook (Rs 4 crore), Tristan Stubbs (Rs 50 lakh), Ricky Bhui (Rs 20 lakh), Kumar Kushagra (Rs 7.2 crore), Rasikh Dar (Rs 20 lakh), Jhye Richardson (Rs 5 crore), Sumit Kumar (Rs 1 crore), Shai Hope (Rs 75 lakh), Swastik Chhikara (Rs 20 lakh).

With two quality batters (Harry Brook and Swastik Chhikara) and fast bowlers (Rasikh Dar and Jhye Richardson). DC also bought plenty of the all-rounder’s and wicket-keeper batters, covering all the bases.

Having just 9 slots left (4 overseas), RR has made use of its resources. They end the IPL 2024 auction with nine picks, which helps DC have a balanced squad and playing XI.
