Prithvi Shaw will be seen in action when DC take on LSG at Ekana on April 12th

DC opener Prithvi Shaw has recently revealed details about his newly acquired residence. In 2022, the Delhi Capitals stalwart fulfilled his aspiration by purchasing a luxurious house in Bandra West, Mumbai, for a staggering Rs 10.5 crore—an amount nearly equivalent to his cumulative IPL salary over the past five years.

Reported by the Economic Times, Shaw’s new abode is situated on the eighth floor of the esteemed 81 Aureate project by MJ Shah on KC Road. Spanning across a lavish carpet area of 2209 square feet, the residence also boasts a spacious terrace spanning 1654 square feet. The former India u19 captain took to Instagram to share some pictures of his lavish apartment.

” Turning the key to my own place has a special ring to it! From dreaming about this moment to living it, the journey’s been unreal. So grateful to have found my own slice of paradise! Let the good times roll, ” he wrote on Instagram.

Initially acquired by DC for Rs 1.2 crore in the IPL 2018 auction, Shaw remained with the franchise for the subsequent three seasons at the same price. However, ahead of the IPL 2022 auction, the 22-year-old was bestowed with a hefty retention fee of Rs 7.5 crore by DC.

Prithvi Shaw returns to form

Shaw recently displayed signs of resurgence in his batting form by notching his maiden half-century of the IPL 2024 season during DC’s showdown against Mumbai on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium. Initially sidelined for DC’s first two matches, Shaw showcased glimpses of brilliance during the high-scoring run chase against Mumbai.

Following the dismissal of his opening partner David Warner, Shaw assumed responsibility and swiftly propelled his team’s pursuit of the daunting 235-run target. His fifty in the IPL 2024 season materialized in just 31 deliveries, signalling a promising resurgence in his form.
