While the crowd size couldn’t match the entirety of the Dallas Nepali diaspora, their presence was undeniable. They were a sea of blue and red, erupting in cheers and creating moments of spine-tingling silence rarely witnessed in cricket.
The cheers celebrated boundaries and showcased immense pride in their team. However, the silences were equally impactful – a collective gasp following a crucial dismissal or a stunned quiet as victory slipped away from Nepal.

Though it was just the opening match, the encounter against Netherlands held immense significance for Nepal. Group D housed powerhouses like South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Here, Nepal saw an opportunity to establish themselves in the tournament.
