These three consecutive wins have propelled Rohit Sharma past Sourav Ganguly to become the second most successful Indian captain in ICC events

Ahead of India’s final T20 World Cup 2024 group match, Rohit Sharma took a break from the practice, to enjoy a beach day with his daughter, Samaira. India will play their final group game, IND vs CAN on June 15th.

India has qualified for the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The Men in Blue have yet to lose a game in New York, defeating Ireland, Pakistan, and the United States.

Taking a much-deserved break, Rohit Sharma opted for a day out with his daughter, The Indian cricket captain posted a series of photos on Instagram from the bitch. In the pictures, he and Samaira were seen enjoying the sun, sand, and sea.

Rohit Sharma breaks Sourav Ganguly’s record

Captain Rohit Sharma has further solidified his impressive record as the leader of the Indian cricket team in ICC events. With precise bowling changes and tactical decisions, Rohit led India to defend a modest total of 119 against arch-rivals Pakistan. His exceptional leadership continued in other matches, keeping India undefeated in the tournament.

These three consecutive wins have propelled Rohit Sharma past Sourav Ganguly to become the second most successful Indian captain in ICC events. Ganguly had led India to victories in 16 out of 22 matches. In contrast, Rohit, who guided India to 10 straight wins en route to the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia, now boasts 17 wins out of 20 matches in ICC events. Rohit’s strategic brilliance and unwavering leadership have undoubtedly elevated his status in Indian cricket.
