CSK vs KKR predicted playing XI: Shardul Thakur likely to play for CSK, KKR to remain unchanged

Ahead of the Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders match at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, here are the CSK vs KKR Predicted Playing XI.

Struggling Chennai Super Kings welcome upbeat Kolkata Knight Riders for another thrilling encounter at the Chepauk Stadium on Monday. The two teams have had contrasting starts to the tournament. Defending champions CSK, after winning their opening two matches, have ended up in the losing side of the next two. KKR, on the other hand, have been unstoppable so far, winning three out of three matches. Ahead of the tie, let’s take a look at the CSK vs KKR predicted Playing XI.

Shardul Thakur in for Mukesh Chaudhury

CSK are missing some of their wicket-taking bowlers as Matheesha Pathirana is still recovering from an injury. Although he bowled a bit at the nets on Sunday, the KKR match might come too early for him. Moreover, Mustafizur Rahman travelled to Bangladesh to get his visa for the T20 World Cup later and is unlikely to feature vs KKR. A change CSK can make is play Shardul Thakur in place of the struggling Mukesh Chaudhury.

No change for KKR

KKR have been doing everything right in the tournament so far. They have settled in to a set playing XI quite early in the tournament and it’s boring fruit with players scoring runs and restricting opposition to low scores thanks to the good mix in their bowling line up. They are unlikely to make any major changes in this match too.
