The IPL 2023 Final has been officially rescheduled after rain-washed out play on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans IPL final will now be played on Monday, May 29 in Ahmedabad and will begin at 7:30 PM IST. While the reserve day offers some respite, the Ahmedabad weather forecast continues to threaten, with rainfall predicted for the reserve day as well. Although there was a 60% probability of rain on Sunday, the Reserve Day outlook looked brighter. There is only a 3% probability of rain on Monday night, according to the AccuWeather weather forecasting platform. But even on Reserve Day, it will be overcast. The Indian Meteorological Department is predicting light thunderstorms on Monday, May 29.

In what is a huge respite to fans, it is unlikely to rain as severely as it did on Sunday. There is a greater possibility of a full match on Monday and both teams and fans will hope for the same. Like on Sunday, should it rain, there will be no overs lost up until 9.35 pm local time. Additionally, the cutoff time for a five-over game is 12.06 a.m.
If a five-overs-per-side match cannot be played, a Super Over may be played; the deadline for this is 1:20 am. Should the game be washed out, it will be the Gujarat Titans who are crowned champions of IPL 2023. Hardik Pandya’s side finished above MS Dhoni’s CSK in the league stage and the standings will be taken into consideration to declare a winner.
