ACC & PCB resolve fixture issues

After months of tussle between India and Pakistan over the venue of Asia Cup, the hybrid model was finally accepted by all stakeholders including the BCCI. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced last month that India will play all their games in Sri Lanka with Pakistan hosting just four matches. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will hold nine matches of the tournament.

However, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) expressed their disagreement over proposed schedule as PCB wants more home matches during Continental Cup.

PCB also highlighted the weather concern as Sri Lanka recieves heavy rains in September, which will make the completion of games difficult.

Another reason PCB were reluctant to accept to proposed Asia Cup 2023 Schedule was the revenue share the hosts will get. PCB wanted a higher revenue share from the Sri Lanka’s game which was not expected by the League officials.
