After WTC Final humiliation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is not leaving any stone unturned. India Cricket Team will have two practice matches in Barbados before the 1st Test in Dominica that starts on July 12. Rohit Sharma & Co will arrive in batches for the IND vs WI series and will assemble for a camp by July 2. At Bridgetown, India will have a week-long camp.
Currently, most of the Indian players are on vacation. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are still in London and will fly to the Caribbean islands in different batches.
As per a Cricbuzz report, securing tickets to Barbados in large aircrafts has been a challenge. Hence, Team India will arrive there in batches.

Some players will arrive in Georgetown and Guyana before moving to Barbados for a practice camp. Head coach Rahul Dravid and other coaching staff will also join them in Barbados.
However, the two practice games won’t be of First Class status. The team management through the BCCI did request Cricket West Indies for First Class matches. However, instead, it will be a mixed squad with some of the local players joining the Indian team for practice games. Team India chose Barbados over Roseau due to poor facilities at the venue.
“They are training at Kensington Oval until we private charter them to Dominica before the start of the Test Series,” a CWI official told Cricbuzz.
The West Indies team will have their camp in Antigua at the High-Performance Centre at Coolidge Cricket Ground. They will travel to Dominica ahead of the Test. Apart from the Test specialists, some of the multi-format players who are playing in the World Cup 2023 qualifiers will reach Dominica directly. They will miss the final of World Cup qualifiers which is scheduled for July 9.
