Bracewell smashed 8 fours and 7 sixes stealing the limelight on the day. With Wanindu Hasaranga missing a couple of games, Bracewell is almost certain of making the side after his exploits. The Kiwi star adds much more balance and stability to the batting that has already lost Rajat Patidar to injury. While he couldn’t help his side to victory, his performance was certainly impressive giving Faf du Plessis food for thought.
“It was nice to get out there at the Chinnaswamy stadium and enjoyed being out there in the middle. It was nice to hit some boundaries. We should be able to pull this one through, but you never know, there are some quality batters in the opposition XI,” Bracewell said after his knock.
RCB are set to play five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their opening game on April 2. This would be their first home match in four years as the IPL returns to a home-and-away format.
