MS Dhoni ANGRY: MS Dhoni is commonly referred to as ‘captain cool’ in the cricketing world. The Chennai Super Kings skipper has garnered many admirers with his ability to maintain composure under pressure, whether during a chase or when defending a total. The 41-year-old did, however, lose his composure a couple of times during the Rajasthan Royals vs. CSK Indian Premier League match on Thursday. Find out the reason below. RR vs CSK HIGHLIGHTS: Sanju Samson does double over MS Dhoni, Rajasthan Royals defeat Chennai Super Kings by 32 runs – WATCH IPL 2023 Highlights

In the sixteenth over, Dhoni tried to make a quick direct hit at the non-strikers’ end. The batter was easily able to get to the crease as bowler Matheesha Pathirana, who was halfway up the pitch, mistakenly stopped it. The young bowler was irritatedly indicated by MS Dhoni that he should have left the ball alone after instantly expressing his dismay.

The second occurrence happened on the final ball of the RR inning. Devdutt Padikkal nearly cleared the leg side of the infield with a powerful shot into the air. Shivam Dube grabbed the ball, but his throw was far from both ends. The batters capitalized on it and ran three runs. MS Dhoni expressed anger with Dube’s weak throw by glaring at him aggressively.

Coming to the match, The Royals reached 202/5, the first time any side has done so in an IPL game at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, thanks in large part to Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 77 off 43 balls and some outstanding finishing from Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal. CSK’s response was to have difficulty being competitive in their chase. Ruturaj Gaikwad had made 47 off 29 balls before Adam Zampa claimed the second of three wickets.

Ajinkya Rahane, CSK’s danger man, was out for 15 off 13 balls, leaving them to wait for a magical combination from Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube. Dube maintained their interest until almost halfway through the 19th over, at which point it was practically mathematically impossible for CSK to catch up. Dube was out on 52 from 33 on the final ball of the game, bringing CSK’s innings to a close at 170/6 as the Royals won the game by 32 runs.
