Virat Kohli scored a record-extending 8th IPL century against the Rajasthan Royals. But all he got in return was criticism. The century, which came in 67 balls, was the joint slowest in the history of the league. Given the match situation, Kohli batted the way he was supposed to, holding the inning together.
However, that 67-ball hundred attracted a lot of criticism. Especially due to Royal Challengers Bengaluru losing and Jos Buttler making a hundred in 58 balls while chasing. But Virat Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, isn’t having any of it. He has flogged critics, claiming that they have no knowledge about cricket.
They don’t even know C of cricket: Rajkumar Sharma
Speaking with India News, the coach bashed those who were taking pot-shots at the RCB batter. He said:
“Iss tarah ki jo baate karte hai, mujhe doubt hai unki cricket knowledge ki. Doosri side se wicket gir rahe hai still vo maintain kar rahe hai 130-135 ki strike-rate. Jinko Cricket ka C pata hoga vo iss tarah ki baate nahi karega”.
“Ye log vohi log hai jinhe charcha mein rehna hai. Jab tak vo bolege nahi aur bolege kis ke liye. Jab Tak Virat Kohli ke liye bolege. Aur kisi ke liye bolege toh news nhi banegi.”

Trying to make news
Rajkumar claimed that people are using Virat Kohli’s name to get engagement online. He said:
“Jo log yeh kahe rehe hai ki ye slow century hai, unhe realise karna chaiye ki match ki situation thi. Sirf news banane ke liye, kyuki aur kisi ke naam se news nahi banti toh Virat Kohli ke baare mein kuch bol dega toh news banegi.”
