IPL 2023, RCB vs RR: Faf du Plessis played an excellent innings, and Mohammed Siraj then turned up his best IPL stats to help Royal Challengers Bangalore defeat Punjab Kings on Thursday by 24 runs. Due to his injury, Du Plessis was forced to play as a ‘Impact Player,’ and he scored 84 off 56 balls, helping RCB reach 174 for four after being called in to bat. Siraj led his side to a much-appreciated victory by taking wickets with both the new ball and in the last overs to finish with 4/21 in four overs. RCB captain Faf du Plessis maintained his hold on the orange cap despite not being totally fit. He hit the game’s highest total of 84 runs off 56 balls. He struck his fourth fifty of the current season while playing as an impact player for RCB in Mohali.

Mohammed Siraj is the new holder of the Purple Cap after grabbing four wickets against Punjab Kings. Siraj is one step ahead of Mark Wood, the express pacer for the Lucknow Super Giants, who is ranked No. 2 with 11 wickets from five outings, thanks to his statistics of 4 for 21 in four overs. Wood now has 11 wickets from five matches.
