“We are looking to bowl. Boult is coming in place of Jason Holder. Padikkal is playing when we bat, I am not sure. We’ll keep learning about it (impact sub). I’d like to score some runs today,” Sanju Samson said at the toss.

Rajasthan Royals are on the top of points table with three wins in 4 games. While they had a dip against Punjab Kings, RR have won two successive games. With two consecutive wins under the wings, RR will bank on the form of Shimron Hetmyer and Jos Buttler to make it a hat-trick of wins.

No other team has done consistently well in the powerplay like Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. At Narendra Modi Stadium, RR will once again face the test of GT’s pace attack apart from Rashid Khan.

Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer — RR’s batting mainstays — have all struggled against Rashid Khan. The Afghan superstar has dominated all three. Add Mohammad Shami and Alzarri Joseph to the mix, RR’s task is cut out.

RR Batters vs Rashid Khan

  • Jos Buttler: Strike Rate 69, 4 dismissals
  • Shimron Hetmyer: Strike Rate: 80, 3 dismissals
  • Sanju Samson: 98 strike rate
