PBKS Playing XI vs RCB: Team Strength, Weakness and Probable Changes
The Punjab Kings have a balanced team with a blend of experienced players and young talent. They have some of the best T20 players in the world and are expected to put up a good fight against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their skipper Shikhar Dhawan missed the previous match against LSG, but if he is available for selection in the next match, then he will replace Atharva Taide.
Punjab’s top order has been in fine form this season. With the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh performing exceptionally well. Shikhar has been the standout performer for PBKS this season, scoring a magnificent unbeaten 99 runs in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He followed his consistency with incredible performances.
At number three, PBKS has the option of either playing Bhanuka Rajapaksa or Matthew Short. Rajapaksa is a big-match player and can turn the game on its head with his big-hitting abilities. Short is a more reliable option and can anchor the innings if needed.
The middle order of PBKS has been a concern for them this season, with Jitesh Sharma, Sikandar Raza, and Sam Curran struggling to find their form. However, Raza broke the slump with a splendid inning of 57 runs in the previous match against Lucknow Super Giants. Despite this excellent performance, it remains the only standout inning for Raza so far this season.
PBKS has a couple of top-quality all-rounders in their squad, namely Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza. While Raza is a gun fielder and a handy right-arm spinner, Curran brings in experience and can also chip in with some useful overs.
The Punjab Kings has a formidable bowling attack, with Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada, Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar leading the charge.
PBKS Possible Playing XI Formation –
- Shikhar Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh will be opening the innings.
- Matthew Short or Bhanuka Rajapaksa will be batting at no 3 followed by Sikandar Raza, and Jitesh Sharma.
- The lower order will comprise Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan.
- In the bowling unit, the PBKS will rely on Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh, Harpreet Brar, and Rahul Chahar.
