Arjun Tendulkar Debut: 10 years apart, the Tendulkar family has another proud moment. After Sachin Tendulkar retired from IPL in 2013, son Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians. With his sister watching from stands and father Sachin in the dugout, it was a massive moment for the youngster. “Arjun, today you have taken another important step in your journey as a cricketer. As your father, someone who loves you and is passionate about the game, I know you will continue to give the game the respect it deserves and the game will love you back. You have worked very hard to reach here, and I am sure you will continue to do so. This is the start of a beautiful journey. All the best!” Sachin Tendulkar wrote on his social media handles.

For his part, Arjun did decently against Kolkata Knight Riders. Under immense pressure with legends like Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri watching apart from the presence of Chandrakant Pandit on the opposition dugout, he bowled two overs conceding 17 runs.
