LSG vs SRH: IPL 2023 Live: Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered their second consecutive defeat in IPL 2023 on Friday. Despite the return of Aiden Markram in the Playing XI, the Hyderabad side once again faltered with the bat as the side put on a mere 121/8 against Lucknow Super Giants on a sluggish wicket. However, the side made a mini comeback with the ball which ignited some reactions from fans in the stands. After a positive start in the chase of 122, LSG lost the in-form Kyle Mayers off Fazalhaq Farooqi’s delivery. While the whole SRG dugout took a sigh of relief on Myer’s departure, Maran was extremely pumped up as she hopped out of her seat, celebrating the team’s first wicket.
The celebration then got doubled as the side got rid of Deepak Hooda in the very next over courtesy of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar’s stunning reaction catch.

However, LSG skipper KL Rahul (35) and all-rounder Krunal Pandya (34) then stitched a crucial 50-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to take the game away from the visitors. It turned out to be an easy run chase at the end as the hosts chased down the target with 4 overs to spare.
Earlier, SRH skipper Aiden Markram chose to bat on a slow pitch and it turned out to be a disastrous decision as the side kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. Spinners ruled the roost for LSG as they restricted SRH to 121/8. Krunal Panyda was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, followed by Amit Mishra who took two wickets. For SRH, Rahul Tripathi top scored with 35 off 41 balls while Anmolpreet Singh contributed with 31 off 26 balls.
Later, despite losing some wickets in between, KL Rahul and Pandya took LSG home in just 16 overs. For SRH, Adil Rashid took two wickets while Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and Fazalhaq Farooqi picked one wicket each.
With the win, Lucknow Super Giants has now moved to the top of the table with 4 points, while Hyderabad languished into the bottom with no points to show.
