PV Sindhu becomes cricket expert, offers valuable insights after PAK vs AFG clash in Chennai

PV Sindhu commended the way spinners bowled during the PAK vs AFG World Cup 2023 clash on Monday.

There’s hardly any doubt that PV Sindhu is the best-ever badminton player the country has produced, having won two Olympic medals, but her busy schedule has not kept her away from catching up on the World Cup 2023. In a stunning Pakistan vs Afghanistan clash, the latter beat the Asian Giants by eight wickets to create ripples in the World Cup points table.

Afghanistan is sixth currently, out of the ten teams and is tied with Pakistan and Australia in the World Cup points table. On Monday, their players Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rahmat Shah, Ibrahim Zadran, and Hasmatullah Sahidi, all chipped in with crucial runs, to their team to past the 283-run mark. But once again, it was their spin bowling that did the trick. The three spinners, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, Noor Hasan, and Rashid Khan blocked the runs when the situation demanded.

The score could have well been past 300 if not for these spinners. While the world acknowledges the prowess of Afghani spinners, our badminton legend PV Sindhu does too. In a tweet, that speaks volumes of her love for the game as well as in-depth knowledge, she commended Afghani spinners. What was noteworthy is PV Sindhu found time during her preparation for the French Open.
