Baby GOAT Shubman Gill has failed to live up to his reputation at the crucial IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023 at the Oval. It was an error in judgment that cost Gill his wicket. After setting up Gill bowling at the same area, Scott Boland delivered another perfect liner. But this the delivery nipped inwards. Instead of playing a shot, Gill decided to leave it and could only watch the ball shatter his stumps.

With 890 runs in IPL 2023 including three centuries and four half-centuries, Shubman set the stage alight.
He got the opening spot in the WTC Final with KL Rahul suffering an injury. With Rahul out and his recent success in England also absent, India needed Shubman to deliver, especially with Australia putting up a huge 469-run first-innings total.
However, his inexperience cost him. Scott Boland continued to bowl pitched up deliveries and finally a lapse in concentration and judgement cost India and him the wicket, leaving India reeling at 30/2.
Meanwhile, team India is under deep trouble as they have lost their top 3. The latest one to depart was Cheteshwar Pujara who was playing well for his 13 runs but just like Gill left the ball only to let it crash on the stumps. Cameron Green scalped the third Indian wicket as Ajinkya Rahane joined Virat Kohli in the middle with India reeling on 50/3.
