Even India’s ace fielder Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t get a grand on the dog. Jadeja is one of the quickest fielders in the world but it was the Chepauk 12th man who won the race that time. The ground staff eventually caught up and the match resumed without fuss.

As for the game, India restricted Australia to 268 after Steve Smith won the toss and decided to bat first. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets each on a good day for the Indian bowlers. For Australia, Mitchell Marsh top scored with 47, but it was some later-order assistance from Sean Abbott, and Ashton Agar that saw them past 250.
