Cricket Australia (CA) is taking the initiative to make sure Pakistani cricket fans have a memorable and inclusive experience ahead of the first test of the Benaud Qadir Trophy, which will be played at Perth Stadium on December 14.
Perth Stadium has allocated two areas around the Pakistan dressing room, officially named ‘Pakistan Bay’, to be used as a dedicated Pakistani fan zone. Fans will be able to gather in these areas. More importantly, Pakistan Bay will be a family-friendly zone as it will be alcohol-free. Pakistan Bay offers a wide range of facilities, such as tea, Halal and Desi cuisine.

Cricket Australia statement
“Perth Stadium has designated two zones surrounding the Pakistan dressing room exclusively as the ‘Pakistan Bay’, providing a focal point for Pakistan fans to unite and fervently support their team,” Cricket Australia said in a statement.
“In a commendable move towards inclusivity, the Pakistan Bay has been declared an alcohol-free zone, fostering a family-friendly environment. Tea, Halal, and Desi food options will be available, further enriching the communal spirit within the Pakistan Bay,” the statement added.
Cricket Australia has also organised a walk on the first day of the first Test. The walk will start from the famous Sailani Avenue, guiding participants to the Perth Stadium. Pakistan cricketers Hasan Ali and Saim Ayub has urged the fans to take part in the walk.
More than 18,000 tickets have already been sold for the much-awaited first Test between the two teams. It will also be Shan Masood’s first assignment as the skipper of Pakistan as he takes charge of the side in the wake of the resignation of Babar Azam as Pakistan captain across formats.
