CPL 2021: From Faf du Plessis to Wanindu Hasaranga, 5 overseas players to watch out for in upcoming Caribbean Premier League: One of the most exciting T20 leagues- The Caribbean Premier League will kick off from August 26. The 33 matches in the tournament will be exciting to watch.

Here we look at 5 overseas players who will be interesting to watch in the upcoming season of CPL.

Chris Morris

The South Africa allrounder, Morris was the costliest player in the history of IPL in where he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore in IPL 2021.  He will play for Barbados Tridents in the CPL 2021. The right-arm pacer can be handy as he has some good experience playing the T20s. His stats- 289 wickets with an economy of 7.74 alongside the batting average of 20.54 in the shortest format make an interesting watch in the upcoming season. Besides, he has got power-hitting skills under his bat.

Faf du Plessis

Another player from South Africa, Faf du Plessis will feature for St Lucia Kings in the upcoming CPL season. The swashbuckling opener has immense skills under his willow- a testimony to which was seen in the recent IPL seasons where he was the leading run-scorer for CSK. He has a phenomenal average of 30.66 in T20s and got phenomenal power hitting skills.

Anrich Nortje

The Proteas player will be playing for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the upcoming CPL season. The right-arm pacer will be an interesting watch for his side because of his disciplined bowling. He has featured on 50 occasions in the T20s scalped 60 wickets and returned with an economy of 7.60.

Mohammad Hafeez

A veteran on 309 T20 innings from Pakistan, Hafeez can be a boon for Guyana Amazon Warriors in CPL 2021. The top-order batsman holds immense experience under his belt. He has a decent average- 25.94 in the shortest format of the game and holds a noteworthy strike rate of 123.89. He will be an exciting watch in the upcoming contest.

Wanindu Hasaranga

The all-rounder from Sri Lanka, Hasaranga is known for his deceptive leg-break bowling. Hasaranga will play for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in CPL 2021 and can badly trouble the other side. He has got the ability to outplay the batsman and get the important wickets. On 55 occasions in the T20s, he has scalped 80 wickets and returned with an economy of 6.37.
