CPL 2021- BR vs JAM: Kennar Lewis’ 89, Shamarh Brooks lead Tallawahs to second place with six-wicket win over Barbados- A stellar 93-run stand between Kennar Lewis and Shamarh Brooks ensured that Jamaica Tallahws leapfrogged the Trinbgao Knight Riders to second in the standings following their six-wicket win over the Barbados Royals. Chasing 152 for victory, the Tallahwahs made a cautious start before Lewis changed gears to nullify all chances of a Royals win, with a stunning 89. Shamarh Brooks also chipped in with a handy 26-ball 47, to ensure that Jamaica crossed the finish line with 14 balls to spare.

Earlier in the day, Azam Khan delivered on his promise and scored a half-century to rescue a stuttering Barbados and lead them to a fighting total. Migael Pretorius continued with his knack of picking wickets, claimed four scalps, as Khan received minimal support, with only Glenn Phillips chipping in with a noteworthy contribution.
The Tallahwahs were in all sorts of troubles when they were reduced to 50/3, with captain Rovaman Powell also back in the hut. However, Lewis and Brooks’ epic partnership left the result in no doubt as Jamaica clinched their second win from the campaign in just their third outing.
