Barbados Tridents will take on Jamaica Tallawahs at their Caribbean Premier League 2019 encounter tomorrow (Tuesday morning India time) with the hope and plan to stay in the contest by consolidating their fourth position in points table.

Top four teams will qualify for the qualifier 1 and eliminator, which are scheduled for October 6 and 7 respectively.

Table toppers Guyana Amazon Warriors and Trinbago Knight Riders are placed comfortably to head to the knockout stage, except for a series of some unexpected results. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots too appear cruising for the last-four stage.

Barbados Tridents in the fourth position still face enough challenge from St Lucia Zouks in the race for the last four.

Jamaica Tallawahs have reached a stage in the Caribbean Premier League 2019 where they cannot achieve much for themselves. However, they still hold the threat of upsetting the Tridents’ bid to ensure a top four berth. Tridents are just one point ahead of the St Lucia combine. A win tomorrow (Tuesday) will certainly strengthen their hold on the third position.

The best name in the Tallawahs line-up, Chris Gayle lacks in consistency and except for skipper Andre Russell, Dwayne Smith and Jerome Taylor there are not many established names in the squad.

Skipper Jason Holder, Leniko Boucher, JP Duminy,  Alex Hales, Shai Hope, Ashley Nurse, Sandeep Lamichchane, Wahab Riaz and Imad Wasim give the think tank good options to field a balanced eleven.

The match will start at 3.30 am India time. Catch all the action LIVE on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports 1 HD from 2:30 am India time. The action will also be simulcast on Hotstar VIP.
