Yadav was not initially named in Middlesex’s squad to face Worcestershire this week at Merchant Taylors’ School with the club delaying his announcement with confirmation needed for his Visa. However, once the formalities were completed on Monday morning, the 34-year-old was added to the squad with the ECB also registering the same.

A seasoned fast bowler, Umesh Yadav was part of the 5th Test squad at Edgbaston but did not feature in India’s seven-wicket loss. He did feature in the 4th Test at Oval, picking up the wickets of Joe Root, Dawid Malan, Chris Woakes and Craig Overton. Overall, he has featured in 52 Tests, 77 One Day Internationals, and 7 International T20s, taking 273 wickets for his country.
