‘Could go for 25-30 crore’: Aakash Chopra predicts big money bids for KL Rahul & Rishabh Pant

LSG has retained Nicholas Pooran for a huge price of 21 crore, meaning there was no provision to retain their captain, KL Rahul

Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are the two players who would be available in the mega auction. Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has claimed both players are expected to go for huge money as teams will be targeting these players. Chopra has predicted that the duo can reach up to 25-30 crore in the auction.

Lucknow Super Giants decided to pay 21 crore for Nicholas Pooran which saw KL Rahul not be being retained. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals and Rishabh Pant couldn’t agree on a fee and thus the southpaw too will be released and will find himself in the auction.

Big money incoming for KL Rahul & Rishabh Pant

“Rishabh Pant is going to get a lot of money. The amount could go to Rs 25 crore or even 30. The same is true for KL Rahul. Again a wicketkeeper-batter and scores 500-600 runs every year. Some people will cry over his strike rate. I saw a meme somewhere that he is more than 30 years old, married, and everyone is saying he is finished, so CSK might take him as such players go there,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

Akash Chopra went on to explain his prediction. He went on to claim that Rishabh Pant will be on the radar for each and every team in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. A player of his stature coming into the auction pool will see teams jumping into the fray to acquire the superstar.

On the other hand, Chopra went on to claim that teams will also break the bank for KL Rahul. Aakash Chopra added that KL is a good keeper who consistently scores 500-600 runs every season, making him a valuable asset for every team. On the other hand, he hit back hard at the memes that has cropped up on the former LSG captain.
