The fan was spotted running around in the stands, his face plastered with smiles, obviously ecstatic to have received Bumrah's most valuable possession and an autograph from one of the best in the world.

When the Mumbai Indians and India’s speedster Jasprit Bumrah faced the Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Stadium on Tuesday, a young fan received an experience that will live in his memory forever. A video of Bumrah awarding a young fan with his coveted Purple Cap—an accolade bestowed upon the top wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League—was shared on X by MI’s official account. Furthermore, Bumrah signed an autograph for him.

With 14 scalps in 10 games at an average of 18.28 and an economy rate of 6.40, Bumrah leads all wicket-takers thus far this season. 5/21 are his best numbers. His team though, with three wins and seven losses, is presently occupying the ninth position in the points table, so his strong bowling performance hasn’t helped them.
