The wait is finally over as the BCCI recently announce that the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) will be starting from the next month of March. The opening match of the tournament will be played between MS Dhoni’s CSK and Faf du Plessis’s RCB.

Heinrich Klaasen (IPL 2023)
Sunrisers Hyderabad was taking on Lucknow Super Giants in an IPL 2023 match. While Heinrich Klaasen and Abdul Samad were batting for SRH, the incident occurred when the umpire denied Abdul Samad a waist-high no-ball against Avesh Khan. The matter went to the third umpire, and the initial decision was overturned. The South African batter went to the umpire to protest against the decision in an animated fashion. Thus, he was fined 10 percent of the match fee for breaching the IPL code of conduct.
Virat Kohli (IPL 2023)
RCB’s Virat Kohli was fined 10% match fees for abuse of cricket equipment or clothing during a match. The incident happened during a CSK vs RCB match. The former RCB skipper is known for his aggressive celebration, and he was caught abusing while celebrating Shivam Dube’s wicket.
Jos Buttler (IPL 2023)
After getting run-out for a duck during Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2023 match, Jos Buttler also had to pay monetary fine for using foul words while making his way back to the pavilion. Buttler had to pay 10 percent of his match-fee for his actions as he also accepted his charges and apologized for his actions later.
