Indian skipper Rohit Sharma continued his excellent record in Asia Cup as he led Men in Blue to record 8th Asia Cup title in Colombo on Sunday. With an emphatic 10-wicket win in IND vs SL final, Rohit Sharma became only the third Indian captain to secure more than one Asia Cup title. The 36-year-old joined MS Dhoni and Mohammad Azharuddin, both of whom have also won the continental tournament twice.
Rohit Sharma was appointed as India’s ODI captain on December 6, 2021 after a remarkable success as skipper in IPL. He later took over leadership duties in all formats. While Rohit Sharma is yet to lead India to an ICC trophy glory, the Men in Blue have achieved decent success in all formats under his leadership.
