Similar is the case with Rajasthan Royals, who are second on the points table, and a win or not, they will sail through.
SRH Close, But Not a Done Deal
But what about the rest of the positions? Third-placed Sunrisers Hyderabad are on 14 points after 12 matches, having won seven games. Given the situation of the IPL points table, they should also go through. But for them to not go ahead, they will have to lose by big margins, and CSK and DC or LSG will have to do so as well. The possibility of all this is low, but it can’t be ruled out for sure.

CSK’s Loss to GT has Opened up Possibilities
Given that SRH will go through, the fourth position can go to anyone. Even RCB for that matter. But CSK still have a decent chance. In fact, the best of the lot who are still in the fray. The face in-form RR and RCB next, and if they can keep loss at bay, their chances improve significantly. Otherwise, they would have to play the NRR game with GT and DC.

DC & LSG in Race too
This is here where things get interesting. At fifth and sixth positions in the IPL points table, DC & GT are tied at 12 points each. They of course need to win their remaining matches, also hope that the other two teams on 12 points, lose their matches. At this point it is anybody’s slot to take.

Their NRR is in negative, so..let’s just leave it to that,
