Sharma was recently reinstated by the BCCI. The former Indian cricketer was seen during the sting operation casting aspersions on players like Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah.

“Indian Cricket Team players take injection & get 100% fit even if they’re 80% fit. These are not pain killers. These injections contain drug which isn’t caught in dope test”, Sharma told Zee News. He also revealed about the Sourav Ganguly-Virat Kohli captaincy fiasco and made his presence felt as the key man in selecting players for the national team.

Indian Cricketers take injections from private doctors to pass fitness tests.
The injections are not prescribed by the BCCI medical team. Instead, they can be categorised under doping.
The injections contain drugs that evade BCCI’s regular doping tests.
That way, unfit players manage to keep their places in Indian team.
Virat Kohli believed it was Sourav Ganguly who forced him out of ODI captaincy and that is why he gave an explosive press conference.
Indian team dressing room is divided into two groups of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. But there is no rift between them.
Jasprit Bumrah was not fit to play in the South Africa series ahead of T20 World Cup. Yet, he was made to play.

“It will be BCCI secretary Jay Shah call as to what will be Chetan’s future. The question is whether T20 skipper Hardik Pandya or ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma would like to sit with Chetan in a selection meeting knowing that he has let out internal discussions,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
